How is safety established?

Permanent Cosmetic Atelier has met all State and local Health Department regulations. We have completed the annual “Bloodborne Pathogens & Infection Control for Tattooing Artists, Body Piercers, Permanent MakeUp, Microblading, and Micropigmentation Professionals” training in accordance with the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030. PMU artists are credentialed by either the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM) or Society for Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) organizations. All PMU artists have received or exceeded the requisite training as mandated. All certificates are conspicuously posted within the studio.

All PMU supplies, including needles or mircoblades, are one-time use only and are disposed of in accordance with safety standards. Non disposable items (eg, client chair, work stand, artist stool) are either covered or sheathed during use and will be sanitized between clients according to safety practices.

The PMU artist will utilize PPE (personal protective equipment; disposable gown, mask, gloves) during the procedure in accordance with safety practices.

All clients are encouraged to wear masks regardless of their immunization status; this may change as directed by the government.

All PMU artists follow the COVID-19 Protocols for the permanent cosmetics industry.
